Each year, we select a theme to guide and inspire our activities throughout the year.
The theme for 2025 will be: Education in Sample Preparation
In 2025, we aim to focus on developing innovative educational resources, fostering knowledge exchange, and promoting training opportunities in the field of sample preparation. Our goal is to support researchers, educators, and students by providing freely accessible guides, tutorials, webinars, and videos tailored to various levels of expertise, enhancing their understanding and skills in sample preparation.
We invite all members to actively participate and contribute to these activities. Your expertise and involvement will be invaluable in shaping a comprehensive and impactful year dedicated to education.
Building on the success of our first task force (TF) on green metrics, we are excited to announce an open call for new TFs to develop educational materials that will be freely accessible to all members. These materials can focus on, but are not limited to fundamentals of sample preparation, resources for university courses, step-by-step guides for methods, or any other innovative content. The output formats may include PDFs, videos, or other creative approaches to knowledge dissemination.
Interested members are encouraged to submit the following information by email (Subject line: "New TF on Education") for evaluation:
- Title of the proposed task force
- Name(s) of contributing member(s)
- Short description of the purpose, scope, and type of educational material to be prepared
- Expected completion date within 2025 for delivering the educational material
The deadline for submitting prosposals for new TFs is: 15th January 2025
